With anticipation growing weekly for our fix of High Stakes Poker in the office, the announcement of a 3rd season is music to the ears of several Poker.com employees.
Clearly we are not alone, and with the viewer-ship constantly growing during the current second season it was merely a formality to get plans for a 3rd season underway.

Congratulations to 2fast443 who won the WPT Grand Final today at Poker.com. He fought off 71 other players in the event to claim the $12,500 package and is off to Atlantic City next month to represent Poker.com and play for a chance to make it onto a WPT TV final table and win millions in prizemoney.

It's finally over. The World Series of Poker has finished for another year and we saw a few very memorable things happen. - Phil Hellmuth claimed his 10th bracelet to join Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson as the all time leaders. He almost claimed his 11th in the final event, finishing 3rd which was enough to see him finish the 2006 WSOP as the overall points leader, with the most final table appearances.

Continuing the trend of talking heavily during opponents decisions, on a flop of Q-8-5 Gold talked Paul Wasicka into calling his all in bet, and when the cards were flipped you felt it was over.

His palms are sweaty and his heart is racing, but he smiles when he sees his cards. "I can't lose this one", he says, with a big grin on his face. Poker in cyberspace is perfect for anyone not having a poker face. Johan Eriksson shows me his hand. A full house, queens full of jacks. There are 260 dollars in the pot. Jack from Ohio just folded his hand, but Hans from Norway and Steven from Australia both called Johan's 20 dollar bet.
